Midomi looks to be a good application; alternative (maybe killer apps) of the well know Shazam. Available on iPhone and Android, it could as well be found with free web version.
Follow the link LandingVoiceSearch.swf and just allow the plugin to access your microphone. Works great on laptop.
Just give it a try. It found me Candi Station - When You Wake Up Tomorrow, and some other good song I was really happy to find the name of the interpreter.
